Children of the Promise is located in Lagossette, Haiti. Lagossette is a small village in the southern plateau of Cap Haitien.
The mission of Children of the Promise to provide excellent physical, spiritual, emotional, educational and economic care for at risk children and families in Haiti. COTP manages this mission by offering both preventative programs to the community in hopes to keep Haitian families together. COTP also provides responsive care to bring families back together and to unite orphans with forever families.
Preventative Programs include the prenatal program, formula program, medika mamba program, and school sponsorship program. (I am also going to add that employment is also one of our preventative programs as we hire about 100 Haitians.)
Responsive care includes rehabilitative care and foster care. Rehabilitate care refers to babies who are extremely sick and malnourished and are admitted into COTP’s care for a few months. The hopes is to reunite these babies with their families. Foster care is for babies who have no hope to return home and begin through the adoption process.
